Getting to the Avo Hotel:
Avo recommends using London’s official journey planner for all your door-to-door trips. Our location is ideal for major tube, rail and bus links.
If you're travelling by car, you might also find Frixo helpful to predict traffic in London and elsewhere! Please be aware, that when using a SatNav, entering our postcode (E8 3AH) sometimes takes you behind our building - it's best to search for Dalston Lane and follow it to number 82. If you're in a taxi, it might be helpful to say that we're close to the corner of Dalston Lane and Queensbridge Road.
From The Airport:
Our hotel is closest to City Airport, but easily accessible from Heathrow and Gatwick airports too.
You will need to get on the Underground and take the Piccadilly Line to Kings Cross.
From here you can either get onto the Victoria Line to Highbury and Islington and then the Overground from Highbury and Islington to Dalston Junction and then walk a couple of minutes to us.
You can get the number 30 bus from outside Kings Cross Station and that will take you to Dalston Junction.
Keep our phone number with you just incase you come unstuck: 020 3490 5061
I guess it depends on how you prefer to travel! Do get an Oyster Card when you get to Heathrow as this is a more wallet friendly way to get around London via public transport.
Avo Hotel is served by many excellent bus routes that serve all over London. Frequent buses like the 38 take you in to the centre of the West End with its many theatres, cinemas and bars. The number 242 takes you to Tottenham Court Road which where famous Oxford Street starts with a whole array of shops and restaurants and is perfect for Soho, famous for trendy boutiques and nightclubs. The number 30 will also take you to the elegance of Upper Street, famous for eateries and for window-shopping. Foodies will love this location!
For the tube, Avo Hotel is located a two-minute walk from Dalston Junction station and a mere ten minutes from the Dalston Kingsland Overground service, which connects you speedily with Stratford and North London destinations on the way to leafy Richmond. Mainland stations like Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, Waterloo and Victoria are also easy to access.
